If so, do you like it? Im considering getting, so I was just looking for opinions.

The debate over which service is better and why will go on forever.

But, whichever service you get, you will love it. You will wonder how you ever got by without it.

    It's worth every penny.

I'm thinking about getting Sirius....mainly because I saw a commercial where you can pop the receiver out of your car and hook it up to your home stereo. Now that's cool shit...

Satellite radio is the only thing you will ever need in your car. I really dont know how I lived without it before. I have XM and love it. A good thing to do is look at what channels Sirius and XM that you like. If one has more channels you like then get that one. Either way...Satellie > FM > AM

XM has that and came out with it first. :slap:

XM has more subscribers so that makes them better. :fawk:

XM is $9.95 per month. I dont know if they have an activation fee.

Sirius is $12.95 per month and they have a $5 activation fee.

I believe both services offer discounts if you pay for a whole year in advance.

Also, Sirius is $12.95 per month for the first receiver, $6.95 for each additional receiver you add to your account.

Sirius is commercial free where as XM has commercials on 40% of their channels. Now when I say commercials I'm talking a minute and a half for every 2 hours of music......it's barely noticable. For $3 dollars less a month I am happy with that.

XM offers free online activation. Yes XM is $9.95 a month and they also have the $6.95 a month fee for an additional receiver...that's another thing that Sirius copied from them. Sirius copied the SkyFi too. I'm not sure how programing is on Sirius but I do know that it has been proven that XM has better sound quality.

Just to be clear all of Sirius's music streams are commercial-free. The talk streams have some commercials, the vast majority of which are just PSAs.
