I have my CPT material but I don't want to get rid of it. Good luck finding anybody on here that can help you though. Nobody believes certifications are worth a damn.

Certifications are a means to an end (getting you somewhere in a field). CSCS is really one of the only ones the will really lead to actual desirable jobs, as in not being a PT.

    .

The CSCS is well respected and gives you that piece of paper that says you arent totally full of crap based upon how highly respected the CSCS is. Part of it for me is being a member gives you insurance coverage as well.

I took the practice exam and got a 70% on it already. I may be doing stuff in the near future and having the certification makes people feel more comfortable and as you said its a means to an ends.

My primary focus is on athletic training which is what I know the most about as it stands today. I agree though CSCS is rotting away due to the number of other ridiculous certifications you can get that really have nothing to back them up. I appreciate the help though, many thanks.

Depends on your client base. Sedentary population blows, but you do get some athletes who prefer one on one stuff.

Look at Charles Glass. Dude is my fucking idol.
