They are looking reallyyy tempting. I will probably pick a few up after the holidays. I was just wondering if anyone had any first hand experience with them, they look decent in build quality.

I'm planning on picking some up in the near future. I'll be sure to post my thoughts when that time comes.

I didn't see the point in those when you have to buy 1 receiver and 1 transmitter when you can just pay a little more and get a PW that does the same thing. :dunno:

I'm just a poor college kid though :big grin: 150 for a quality trigger and receiver is mighty tempting.

A little more? More like 100% more of the cost

Got 2 recievers and the transmitter last week for my D300, SB800 and 600

Havent used them too much yet but so far theyre great! Not one missfire, they work around corners ( i was using pop up flash to fire the SB's before, so this is amazing to me lol)
    Highly recommend em!

A little more? For the price of 2 PW transceivers, I could buy 1 CyberSync transmitter and 4 receivers.

I've never heard anything bad about Paul Buff products either.

$58 per... I guess I'd just rather have everything in one little package for that much more. :dunno:

So I won't take my wife out to dinner twice this month, so what? :mamoru:

But its $130 for a working set, vs. $188 x 2 for a working set of PW.

:ugh: a little more? pocketwizards are x3 times as expensive as the cybercync. Congrats to you on over spending for the band name:bigthumb:

-btw... make sure you remember to remove the batteries out of your PW's after every use, otherwise they cause the battery to leak and fry your PW

no, PW even recommends you pull your batteries out after every use to avoid it happening. Had a friend fry his and was told by PW that it happens frequently... but take it as heresy if you want.

so what if your flash (420ex) does not have a pc sync cable? Do the cyber syncs or the pocket wizards have hot shoe connections? I have two different flash units from other manufacturers (no ttl, but they'd work in a pinch) and it would be nice to do a three strobe setup sometimes without having to but a couple more strobes at 300 a pop
