MIL Anyone have any experience at Al Asad?

    My damn airwing buddy is all gung-ho about being the security platoon there and having to do QRF. I looked on the map and it just looks like a bunch of desert. I did see a city like 30 miles north of there but I wonder if they would even jump up there to do anything.

    they have paved roads and bus routes on base, he's fucking skatin, :coold:

    I heard it's the biggest base in Iraq. Is it sorta like TQ? That shit was ridiculous

    A couple of buddies in my unit did the exact same thing in Al Asad. They patrolled empty desert with a few villages. It wont be anything exciting.

    Just got back from there, he's either going to be sitting at a post around the perimiter or crusin around a whole lot of nothing outside the base and spending a lot of time at the MWR when he's not on shift. Just to put things in prospective, 7 months and 1 moartar that didn't hit shit.

    Al Asad is huge as fuck and from what I know pretty garrison.

    MWR is like a place where volunteers have things do to and stuff like movies and entertainment...uhh..i guess. I was on TQ and spent some time in Al Asad. Its a pretty big base and its rather skate to say the least
