or what kinds of things look good in metallic?
I have a 20x30 B&W with a metallic print, looks really good.
when i was ordering a family picture i took, i ordered a 4x6 copy in all the finishes, including metallic. i can say that a color family photo doesn't look right in metallic. not sure why i thought it might, but i had to try.
I've had great luck with metallic prints.
some great stuff has come from it. love the paper
did some sunrise beach shots from a bikini shoot in metallic and the sunrise colors were beautiful.
any "landscape" high in saturation, or contrast should look good on metallic print... Not really a fan of it with portraits.
I've printed a bunch of high color/contrast landscape photos on metallic and they look great.
There is no right or wrong thing to print on it. I did an entire sample wedding album on it. Order a couple different types of images, color and B/W and see how you like it.
It is highly reflective, so how you light it will matter, and likewise you will have to take the utmost caution in handling it
Check out Wired or Print magazine from the last few months and you'll see it plenty. Pantone Metallics are hawt lately.
