Anyone have a workout guide for dumbbells? Or what i should do with them.

    Im a bit on the chubby side. What should i do to lose the fat and gain muscle. My arms are in pretty good condition. Its just my stomach. I have dumbbells and a treadmill. So point is i want so abs. I want to gain muscle in the arms and shoulder. What should i do with the dumbbells? How many times a week? How long?

    lose fat FIRST by correcting your diet and exercise at least 3 times a week cardio session.

    Heh.. Not a real "diet". Just lay off the soda and all the junk food. Alot of veggies and tuna and crackers. Nothing fat. Is grilled chicken breast good for a diet?

    day 1 flat bench db press incline/decline if you can or flys. day 2 rows form ground back extensions, lat flys and curls. day 3 db squats and lunges and shoulder press. also lateral raises.

    the first question you need to ask yourself is "did I read the stickies" if your answer is no then you need to delete this thread and fucking do it.

    If you goto bb.com you can sort the exercises by dumbbells, pick and choose from there. Arnold Press, military press, shrugs, hammer curls, side lateral raises, dumbbell rows . . . there's lots of 'simple' excercises for guys with just dumbbells. There's always non weighted stuff too, pushups, chair side situps, etc. You can pick and chose a handfull of excercises and cycle thru them for a couple weeks to build up your overall strength, then you can go find yourself a really good routine to follow. :)

    Listen guys, I'd really concentrate on your diet first and foremost. Just cutting out the crap and eating "healthier" doesn't really mean you have a "diet" to follow.

    Get that in order then work on your resistant training regime.

    hold one db in each hand and spin in circles 15 times

    only move up in weight when you can get 3 solid sets with PERFECT FORM (straight arms about 45* from your torso)

    also a tip: don't do pre-workout nutrition with this exercise
