So I was going through some of my kits seeing if I want to buy any receivers with my tax money, and it seems the skorpion might be the best candidate as far as receiver and building costs. I had planned to wait till i could get an SBR stamp but may as well pick up the receiver while they're still around and maybe build it. So anyone got one or shot one? Thoughts?

Due to my socialist state laws it'll be going on my carry permit :mamoru:

Fuck.. someone just posted about buying a Skorpion kit.. I think it was on THR. I remember reading the thread with interest because I used to play with a toy Skorpion as a kid.

I've shot a posty one which was a lot of fun. $300 bucks plus a barrel and receiver is pretty steep. I can't imagine they'd be too much fun unless it was SBRed but all in all it is a cool little gun. I don't know what the price of semi-receivers are running right now but if they are cheap enough it would make for a fun gun.

Not sure how hard the conversion would be for 9mm, might have to look into that.
The receivers go for around $370, wouldn't want to have to spend a shit ton more on conversion parts.

I'd like to see this project happen for the simple reason that no one else I know has one, and for the fact that I know very little about Skorpions. Its always good to have goodies that no one else has, and be able to learn something new at the same time.

Yeah I don't know anyone who's got one, don't even recall ever seeing anyone on any of the forums I'm on having one. You can pick up a complete pistol for 700 n change, I don't recall what I paid for this one hell I don't even remember where I bought the thing :o Looks like kits go for about $500 now a days I know I wouldn't of paid anywhere near that much though.
