What do you think about it? Is the billet better than forged or is there any appreciable difference?

Forged are actually stronger, but it doesn't sound as cool as billet...

I can personally vouch for the quality of craftsmanship of sun devil lowers. I live in phoenix where they are manufactured and own a few of them. I also do part-time CAD work for a local company who CNC's their own lowers as well.

You will find that Sun Devil lowers are very stout and much thicker in some areas. In fact, the wall thicknesses used are comparable to those of many .308 lowers. And the Mil-Spec Type II hard-anodizing is done by one of the best companies in the valley.

Don't hesitate to buy from Sun-Devil, Arizona Armory, or Quentin Defense... All local, all great.
