So a friend mentioned he was building a golf ball launcher for his HK51 and I have 2000 rounds of 7.62x54R blanks that just showed up today. Another friend has 7 or 8 mosins that he will sell me for $45 or $50 a piece...I can't imagine it being to hard to thread the barrel weld some pipe onto a muzzle brake...

I have 24 boxes with 96ish rounds in each of this shit. It's going to last me forever.

Any ideas what would make this project easier?

Why not thread the barrel and find a 22mm grenade launcher adapter and put the launcher on with set screws instead of welding it so you can also shoot tennis balls with an M1A2?

As part owner of a golf course, this is something I think I could actually get a little use out of :mamoru:

hmm, this would be an interesting contraption for long range target aquisition to bad golf balls are expensive.

golf balls are cheap if you get range balls (go get a bucket of balls and then sprint to your car w/em or just goto the range at night and grab a bunch of balls)

My dad has shitloads of old golfballs that are just sitting in his basement.

I'm guessing they can go a couple hundred yards. Probably depends on how well I make the launcher and the types of blanks.

Century Arms had a sale on it last month. If you bought a case (12 boxes) or more they gave you like 75% discount. Looks like they didn't continue the sale. I bet it cost them around $40 to ship it :o

If it only launches them 150 yards I don't see the point.

I found a website that makes them for ARs and they say around 500 yards. I imagine it would be similar for a Mosin.
