I have a new MBP and I want to backup to a PORSCHE external hd. The porsche piece is nice, and I like all things PORSCHE. Anyone got one?

You know it's not made by Porsche right?

LaCie makes amazing products, and you can't go wrong with them, IMO

I got one of these drives, they aren't expensive, and it has worked flawlessly for the time I have had it.

It is not made by PORSCHE but the design inspiration came from them. Also, they are macbookpro silver, a plus.

I picked up a 250GB LaCie HDD last year for $99. Best external HDD I've used so far :hs: Transfers go through reliably, and it never gives me any kind of grief.

It's a featureless silver box. Nothing more. I don't even see where they get "Porsche inspired design" out of the thing.

I have a pair of NexStar 3's by VanTec that are this sexy, deep, metallic blue with chrome trim that look a hell of a lot nicer.

It is not designed by Porsche, the car company.

It is designed by [SIZE=-1]Porsche Design GmbH. They say Porsche to fool people, when it's really just a name.

Anyway, LaCie is top of the line for external HDD's, and if they had the Porsche one with FireWire, I'd have one right now :sad2:
