Not many mormons in Layton. :hsd:

Great place if you love to ski - weird social thing with the Mormons in the area. Good to know that you can get pretty much anything you need from the base though (don't know what the rules are for civilians vs military)

I'm stationed at Hill and live in Layton. What kind of job are you thinking about getting here? This is my first base so i don't really have an opinion to compare it to. Feel free to ask anything though.

Yes, pretty much. I wanted to go back to the east coast but chances of me getting a BOP is pretty slim. Ive been TDY to Hill twice now and loved it both times. So much more to do then South Dakota, i love to snowboard. Just seems all around like a great upgrade for me.

just curious if it is actually as good as it seemed to be for the 2 weeks that i was there. I can live with the whole mormon thing, but it would be a bit different. One thing that i did notice right off the bat, the Girls. but then again, south dakota doesnt have much to look at in that department

AHHH...my supervisor(no longer) is now doing CBT work here at Hill. I'm from Louisiana so moving here was a bit of a change. But nothing outrageous. If your a clubber most places close around 2 i think so thats kinda shitty. The beer is weak(literally, 2~%) but you can buy "Strong" Beer at the shopette. If you have family its a nice place to raise the kids. I'm married so i wouldn't know about the Girls :bigthumb:

Never heard a bad thing about the base or the area. I heard it was a nice place to live and lots to do. I wouldnt mind being stationed there.
