I just returned from a trip to Europe where I saw a friend's Sony Ericsson P910i. Looks great! It seems though that this will be marketed in the US as 910a. Has anyone used the 900 or 800 in this series? Do you think these are better than PocketPC based smartphones?

I've used the P800 and P900, as well as two different Series 60 phones (Nokia 3650, 6600).

I love the touchscreen of the UIQ (P800/900), but I've got to say that series 60 phones offer me more options. I like to play around, install programs, and so on.

I haven't heard much good about the microsoft based phones though, and if you mean pocketpc's, they're an entirely different league.

I have the P900 and i must say the phone's got it all. www.howardforums.com has a thread that lets P900 users reflash the OS to use the P910 OS (lets you use the 1gig memory stick) and the P900 is 150 bucks cheaper.

I think I'll move on to P900 or P910. Looks like no one has anything bad to say about it.
