apparently he's coming to teach at one of the gyms in Houston. :)

$70 in advance (paid by May 31st) and $95 at the door.

    worth it? :dunno:

yeah I don't think you'd get much out of a seminar if you don't train regularly already

Why not try out a class at your local gym? Most of them will allow you to pay for the day which may be something like $15

most of the noob stuff in grappling is learning the basic positions, how to use guard, how to relax/explode, and these are all things that take a few weeks/months on the mats to really get a feel for. Anything you try to power-learn before you get the basics will be useless to you, and you'll likely forget it.

grappling isn't like punching and kicking, where you can run through the motions a few times and feel comfortable with it. You gotta assimilate it, and it takes time

I workout at 24hr fitness and they don't offer it. Elite Martial Arts is where this guy will be and the place I've been looking into taking BJJ classes. I haven't gone in to get the prices..etc just yet :o but I am on their email list.

just go in and try it out, see if you like it. most BJJ places offer a free first class to see if you like the way they do things

Yeah there's going to be stuff that you can learn right away but in order to do it right you're going to need to drill and have someone watch to point out mistakes.

You might want to find out if this is going to be geared towards beginners or advanced students.
