Perhaps i'm not using the correct term but... an example would be this:

    Squats

Week 1 (structural hypertrophy based / endurance)

    135 X 15
    155 X 15
    185 X 12
    205 X 10

    Week 2 (functional hypertrophy based)

    135 X 15
    185 X 12
    205 X 10
    225 X 8
    245 X 6

    Week 3 (Strength based)

    135 X 15
    185 X 12
    225 X 6
    245 X 5
    265 X 3
    275 X 1-2

And then repeat? Week 4/5/6 you would try to either do more reps (probably weeks 4-5) or increase weight (likely week 5-6)... etc.

Anyone have any success with this style of routine? Or am I getting way too complicated for my own good? :o

Complicated. Squat is all feel for me. I follow roughly the same routine as in NoQ's sticky, but there are definitely those days where I'm not feeling it and can't put up the same as last week. Or, I'll do the routine, then singles and doubles at more weight.

It's tough to tell yourself in advance what you're going to want to do as far as weight/rep to a certain extent.

Lift until you're satisfied with what you're doing that day ... then push it a bit further
