Hey i recieved an email from these dudes at "http://traderdomains.net" saying they managed to snatch up a .com of a website i might be interested in (i own the .net).

They offered it for a very low price of 50 bucks. i said w/e and just bought it because i know i can flip it for 5x easily.

That's till i realized maybe i should look more into this company before spending shit . it was too late but whatever, it's 5am and im pretty messed up at the moment :sad2:

Has anyone heard of this company or should i file a chargeback :o

Funny thing though is my .com WAS available so I registered it

my reply after I registered it:
    How about for $8?

    They didn't respond :wtc:

i think they might be legit.

the domain they are offering is surprisingly good, even for 50 bucks :o

i did a whois and the domain was in possession of them (or atleast the contact info matched their domain)

Go for it then. Not like losing out $50 would be that big of a deal even if they happened to scam you.

I went on the .co.uk version of my domain yesterday and it is just a holding page with a link further down saying it might be for sale.

I put in a very low bid and it came up with an error saying my bid must be >£1000 minimum :wtf:

Even their own site statistics on the page shows the domain gets no traffic or anything :ugh:

Just got an email from these same faggots.

They offered me a .com for $49. I checked and it was available so I registered it. Then I sent an email back thanking them for letting me know about the great domain. lulz.

Similar type of company targetted my work recently.. we got a variety of letters from the same company to diff departments, seemed to be randomly targetted (eg HR got a letter, IT got a letter, Admin got a letter).. each was slightly diff..

    1. "xxxx.com is up for renewal, renew quickly or you may lose it, get a free ipod nano if you renew online via credit card now"... for a domain we didn't own and didn't want :p

    2. "xxxx.com is available! grab it now before someone else does! login and register via online instantly, don't hesitate!" ... for a domain we already own.

I think they just target people who go "Shit, better act now!" and quickly throw credit card details into their site without thinking about it or checking up on it.
