I just do it the old fashion way its not that bad doing 5.45 mags by hand, some of the 45 rounders can be a bit stiff towards the end but nothing terrible.

The outdoor range I go to has a 6-round per magazine cap, so I have to reload the magazines several times while I'm out in the cold. I imagine double stacks are easier to reload than the single stacks I'm using, but still...

BTW I go to that range because it's free and it's 10 minutes away. Closest public range is an hour away and charges per half hour.

If they're single stack, just load them by hand. Because of the way they must be loaded, I don't think any LULA would work.

You need some stripper clips. A month or so ago some friends were racing to see who was faster at loading mags with stripper clips or unloading them with a full auto Krink...As long as you have the stripper clips loaded up you can load mags extremely fast.

Yeah but that kind of defeats the purpose unless you carry around a ton of stripper clips already loaded. :dunno: I really like the idea of the LULA because (for the time being) I only need to load 6 rounds at a time, and even when I load all 30 I'm more concerned about ease of use than speed.

But if I did want to go the stripper clip route, how much do stripper clips cost, and also the mag loader piece?

Lula's are like $25-30 and I think you can get like 10 stripper clips for $10 IIRC.

Lula's are really nice, they make loading and unloading really easy, I just don't have a need for one. I have enough mags that I don't have to reload at the range and I usually just reload while I watch a movie or something at home.
