Im getting at a point where the mundane 9-5 everyday is getting boring as fuck asking myself what am I contributing back to besides paying bills and providing for my fiancee?

I have a business management degree so I could enter into OTS right?

So has anyone done this and how is it working for you?

Business management degree? Doubtful. A friend of mine with a computer science degree could only enlist and then apply for OCS.

Other than that, I don't know much else.

what your degree is in doesnt matter (as long as its a bachelors), all that matters is that its from an accredited school.

Does he like it at all?

Ya Its a bachelor's from a State University. I currently have about 22 employees I am the manager for. Just the daily grind is getting to me. I don't see why a management degree would be bad since Managers tell employees what to do and Officers tell soldiers what to do.

Yeah he likes it a lot. Getting paid and getting benefits for his kid he just had. I'm sure you're in a different situation though being a manager and making it through school.

Well as an officer, much of what you are doing is the same 9-5 office job. Unless you get like aviation or join the navy and go on a ship.

I left a job as a Network Engineer with the second larget telecomm company in America to reenlist. Best career decision I ever made.

I worked my career for 2+ years, got fed up, went outside to have a smoke and just kept walking till I got to my car and went straight to the armed forced center.

I should have done things in a different order

Why would I IL you? You're amusing, in a arrogant but completely clueless future jarhead sort of way. Just like Accord.

If you are tired of a 9-5 job the military honestly is not going to be much different.

I meant that my job is not helping others out. I.e my country or people less fortunate then me.

I have been working since I was 14. I was an abstractor for a mortgage company from 14-17. Then Part time at Fidelity National Financial where I got promoted all the way to Team Lead and worked all through College where I went Full time Senior Year finishing school at night, then to my job now where my title is Director, Property Operations.

I don't know my days are just unfullfilling.

That's what I thought and did. No regrets. And contrary to what some people seem to believe I think the Army is much different than the typical 9-5 job. I can get out of my office and go BS with my mechanics outside if I want, or go spend the day at the range, or do an obstacle course with my Soldiers, 9-5 in an office is all day every day, no options to get out.
