    last time I saw them covered on tv, they were being done by news anchors leslie stahl and barbara walters....I think that might tell you something

    I read an article where Bill Starr recomended slowing the tempo where a single rep took 30 seconds. But he doesn't recomend doing that type of workout exclusively just rather to shock the body.

    I wonder for aged people (above 60) would it be beneficial or do more harm than good?

    explosive concentric focusing on bar speed
    slight pause/squeeze
    semi-slow, controlled negative
    repeat

    works great for a good mix of strength and size
