Or read/ heard anyone else doing so?

I'm talking about 200g of fat intake...even if at least half is from 'good fat' sources such as flax seed oil and almonds.

Wondering about effects on health as well....

Well...just not sure if anyone on here did one for bulking. And its not exactly keto... since I'm keeping carbs to 150g.

I was intaking around 400 grams of fat and 400 grams of protein with less than 20 carbs a day when I was on the anabolic diet. It worked well. I held less water and my strength and muscle went up.

I havent gone that high with the fat, but had great results with keto for dieting.

I'm interested in your results with that diet as well Ray. I've heard alot of people have had good results, even leaning out while gaining LBM on it. I'm also curious how in the hell you kept carbs so low too. What does a typical day look like food wise?

I keep my carbs at around 150 grams. The only time I consume any carbs is in the morning and before/after workout.

My blood profile tested normal when I did this. I did this for about 8-10 weeks straight. My bodyweight dropped about 10 pounds but my LBM and strength went up. It was basically lots of steak, bacon, sausage, cheese, eggs, nuts and sald with olive oil. I'm much happier with my current diet that Pur set up for me but that diet did work.

I know another buddy who is on the anabolic diet, he has gotten significantly leaner and ALOT stronger.

    I love carbs though...

Especially since I'm trying to add weight I don't think I'm going to go below 100g of carbs.... at least not yet.

I've done high fat, protein and carbs before. It was a fairly dirty bulk. I did gain weight and a lot of LBM quite quickly but my cardio endurance went down the toilet and I'm not convinced it is "healthy" in the long term.

Trying to bulk while staying lean? I would just add complex carbs to your diet. At least you will have the energy to work out harder. That's what I started todo this week going from 250g protien + 120g carbs to 250 carbs and protien just to see if it would help my work outs. Alot of the "Pro"s are at 350g protein and 500g carbs which is insane during bulking. I don't think a high fat diet in the long run is healthy.

How about an all trans fat diet? Load up on biscuits, hot cocoa, and shakes of heated margarine :yum:

Pointless. If you're going to be consuming that many carbs, you don't want increased fat. Your meals must be at LEAST 40% fat, with less than 6-8g carbs per meal in order for your body to burn fat for energy, otherwise you'll be converting protein to glucose, etc etc

    I disagree.
Especially since I don't want to go into ketosis right now.
    Anyway....something else to consider.
