    It was alright.

I actually lost weight when I ate "right" instead of just avoiding carbs and eating string cheese and nuts and beef steak. :o

Like everyone says, no need for Atkins if you know how to eat right. Low carbs will make you easily irrated. Stick to minimalizing and controlling bad carbs but keep eating fibrous complex and healthy carbs (green leafy veggies).

My av is so small you can't see it!
I've seen alot of people eating "right" 3 times a day, but in alrge meals. As some people said, read the archives. If you are too lazy to read the archives, then you're just making yourself feel better about being fat by claiming you HAVE been trying to do soemthing about it.

On a side note, most important things in eating healthy:
-Try to eat 6 seperate LIGHT meals a day.
-Eat clean foods. Do not eat fast food, junk food snacks, drink pops, etc.
-Count your calories. If you arent' loosing weight and have done all these things, you are probably eating more than you think.
-Cardio and excercise. Eating clean and properly is not enough as I have seen from several of my friend's experiences.

it sucks, not nessisary, you can easilly loose fat by not cutting out carbs, and its much easier to have energy for liftign without totally gutting them.

decide what is more important, eating the sugar or getting to your goal.

    then just do it.

My friend did that and lost a significant amount of weight. Once he finished though, he went back to his old routine and gained all the weight back.

I did atkins for about a month, it was the worst month of my life. I felt like shit constantly; I love carbs, but couldn't eat any. God it was horrible. Plus it teaches you absolutely nothing about healthy eating habits, and you will just be back where you started in the end.

Just learn how to eat right, it's honestly the only way to go.

A girl I knew was on the Atkinds diet. It was disgusting. She was constantly frying shit up, and eating tons of greasy foods.

She lost some weight, but watching her eat all that crap was sick. In the end, she was back to her fat self. In fact, I think she got bigger. It's not something you can keep up indefinitely. A short term solution. My challenge has always been to gain weight.

I've been on the atkins. Went on it for 3.5 months a few years back. Went from 318 to 255 from jan 1 till about mid april. I lost lots of weight on it, I got used to eating the foods, and it actually didn't seem that bad for me. Here is the downside. Atkins teaches you to just avoid carbs, I was chowing down cheddarwursts, bacon, steaks, eggs, sausages, and chicken. As soon as I got off the diet, I didn't learn how to eat right. I was 378lbs as of last october, so I put it all back on and then 60 more. I started weight watchers in october cause it teaches you how to eat right. Currently down 74lbs since then and I love it even more. I can eat foods I love but it teaches moderation. I'd say avoid atkins man. Go ahead and cut back on teh carbs if you want but still count calories and do all that stuff.
