Anyone been lucky enough to touch or use one?

According to Wikipedia, there are only 10 in existence, and they cost about 90K.

I've seen one used....only because I could pick it out of the sea of white lenses from a mile away. Used one myself, no chance in hell :(
What's its advantage besides size? What else is there? Its an f/5.6, autofocusing lens 1200mm long...that about covers it.

As cool as one would be to own, it's not the lens I lust for. This is:

    scratch that...here's one

    probably the guy I saw...cause that's when I saw it. from http://manginphotography.com/

It's not so much the shot itself that's amazing..it's where and how it was obtained. That's about all a 1200 is good for....getting shots you could get with something shorter, from much further away :hsugh: I could have pulled off that same shot with my 70-200...if I was permitted to stand next to the pitcher :ugh:
