I read it to about 3/4 of the way through and just got bored and stopped reading it. It was pretty good up till then but I didn't feel like continuing.

It's the personal account of a reporter who was stationed with Recon Marines who swarmed through Iraq in the beginning of today's war. It deals with the experiences the Marines have along the way, dealing with civillians, dealing with troublesome or stupid officers and fellow enlisted, and their combat experiences.

It is called Generation Kill because they have been raised on violence in movies and video games, and when they go to training they are taught to become killers, "kill haji" etc. Not a fan of the title myself.

  8. I read My War. Good book. I wanted to pick up Generation Kill since it was right next to it but my friend said My War was good.
