I've been waiting for this move forever, it seems. I really wanted to get a copy when it first came out on DVD but the release was widely panned by reviewers as being a horrible transfer with no extras.

The re-release is finally out so i picked up a copy. $17 at DDD for the two-disc version.

Anyone else a fan of this movie?

Yeah, that's the one. Definitely a cool movie, and one that most people don't really know about.

So would you have attacked the fleet and prevented Pearl Harbor? I don't think I would have. Preventing Pearl Harbor keeps the US out of the war, and that practically hands Europe to Germany.

And the coolest part of all was when the Tomcat did the supersonic flyby of the Zero fighter. :big grin:

One could argue that not only would you NOT be handing over Europe to Germany, but that Hitler could be stopped immediately with one simple flyby of a modern fighter. Of course, who's to say that doing so wouldn't cause him to be a martyr and add fuel to the fire. That's the reason this movie is so cool, it opens up tons of "what if" scenarios. Can you imagine what the world would be like today if the technology from an F-14 were present in 1941?
