I love my time on the mat, whether it for BJJ or grappling or mma. Unfortunately in my days off (4 per week) I know I should be doing some cardio or strength training but its just boring as shit to me compared to the time on the mat so I never end up doing much. I eat pretty healthy and work pretty hard when Im at class/gym so my conditioning is ok and I can roll strong till the end of class.

Weights / machines just aren't stimulating enough for me, or maybe im just mentally weak:hs:

are your tracking your strength progress?

work without realization of acheiving goals seems pointless.

I can't train alone... I get too bored
Right now I have no one to train with outside BJJ, so I don't

i actually find it hard to lift with someone.
so far my best gym partner was my gf. she would go to cardio, i would go hit the bench, squat, or dead racks....
then we would meet up later with our DBs on a flat or incline bench.

its too hard to find someone that squats, deads, and benches equal. i hate moving plates off and on and back again between sets.

i'm doing lifting with my friends (who don't do bjj, because they think its :greddy:) on my days off (3 days per work week)..

i really don't like going to the gym unless its to use a treadmill (but i have a whole fucking town to run around so i don't do that anymore)....usually i go just to do midsection work...i've never had a 6pack...and i want one.....eventually....

I used to be that way, but once I set myself into a good routine I find its easier to 'force' myself to do it, ya know. Granted, I don't enjoy doing it, but oh well, I sort of know that I have to.

I find MA training motivates my weights and other workouts.

I used to go to the gym religiously. Lately, I have been pressed for time, so it is either MA or the gym, I choose MA...

I'm gonna cut back on my MMA and lift weights after my fight. It'll help that I'll be lifting at my MMA gym so atleast people will be there.
