I took Zoloft for about 4 months. I had a few side effects but that certaintly wasnt one of them. You need to call your doctor right away. That isnt normal under any circumstances.

    Just see a general practitioner.

If the blood is bright red like you would expect, then its coming from just inside your anus and is probably hemroids (sp?) or a perforation in the rectum. If it is dark red or black, then you got colon issues. There is no way for anyone but a doctor to know if this is about the Zoloft... but if you're in your late teens/early 20s: welcome to hemroid land.

Anyway, go see a doctor. This isn't something to fool around with. 99% of thetime its no big deal. 1% of the time going to the doc early saves your life, or saves you from shitting into a bag through a valve your whole life.

it's probably unrelated. give it a couple of days and go see a doctor if it doesn't clear up.

Blood in stool = go now. Even if its just for a talk about the wonders of hemroids.

Also, if you notice your stool in the next few weeks turning black... that is more blood. Watch for it.
