:o I started brushing 3x/day in an attempt to counter that. I'm not even sure which one is the culprit - I assume it's the fish oil.

    Anyway to prevent this?

    fish oil caps no.

for me its usually the milk and protein breath. that stuff sometimes tends to have a lingering presence even after you brush.
so i carry some eclipse chewing gum with me often.

Yeah, just brush and use mouthwash a lot.

It's from the whey and milk. The fish oil caps only effect my burps.

Don't forget to brush your tongue when you brush your teeth cause that is where a lot of those hidden bad breaths reside :)

You need to find entericly coated fish oil so it doesn't break down until it reaches the intestines.

    Step 1) research enteric coatings
    Step 2) /thread

What's that 4cd-Air? Enteric coatings totally prevent fish oil breath! Why didn't you say so earlier!?:eek3:

    I appriciate that.

I work at a natural food and vitamin store as a salesperson, so I study that shit at work, plus I'm in school to be a personal trainer through the NSCA.

Not to brag or anything. :o

I've never personally experianced "whey breath" so maybe if you describe the problem to me, I can help.

Without knowing much about it, I automatically assume it's a problem with digestion, which leads me to suggest using digestive enzymes to ensure you properly break down your food. I take enzymes because when you take over 50g of protein with every meal, you need insurance on your body's ability to use all that protein. Enzymes such as papain and bromlein (sp?) help break down protein and carbs, so find a enzyme mix with both of those. I use "Vibra-Gest" by Source of Life. Also you'll find some protein powders already have papain in them to assist in breakdown, others don't, so check yours and see if it does.

Don't really have a problem with whey, but I did with fish oil.

I got some Nature Made ones at Walmart before I knew what enteric coating was. Ignorance FTL because the burps jacked my morning coffee right up.

    :barf:

I got some Kirkland Signature caps from CostCo that are enteric coated and it makes all the difference in the world. No fish smell in the bottle or aftertaste/burps.

    Knowledge is key... :bigthumb:
