I have not had a formal diagnoisis, I told my Dr about my syptoms and he said that I may be and then put me on Zyprexa. It worked nice for about the first 6 weeks but now I find that I am having highs and lows again like before. It really fucking sucks, all of a sudden I get upset or emotional over the littlest things. Its like I dont have control over my emotions and it pisses me off.

How do the other type 2s manage?

I'm type II and my doctor has me on Topamax. It takes care of the lows and the highs were never that huge of a problem for me. He wanted me to take Zyprexa but after my experienes with Paxil, I flat out refuse to take any sort of anti-depressant.

I'm no doctor (I just do a lot of research) but I think maybe you should be taking something like Lamictal or Depakote (mood stabilizers) as well as Zyprexa. Generally anti-depressants just take care of the depressive side. Bipolars (type I and II) need some sort of mood stabilizer.

I thought zyprexa is a mood stabilizer.

Zyprexa did a damn good job at putting me to sleep... all the time.
Currently on abilify and it's great.
