anyone eat bison/buffalo?

    I mix it in with lean ground beef so it's not too dry.

    Yes, I have a organic bison farm about 5 miles from my place. Get stuff from then all the time

    not a bad idea..do you just eat ground bison? or do you try some of its cuts?

    I've never tried cuts of it. When I tried it by itself I was trying to find something wrong with the taste but couldn't. I thought Bison would taste gamey but it really doesn't. The HEB grocery store in Texas was really pushing it. Right now the only place I know that sells it is whole foods and they're too damn expensive.

    HEB has it, but for 6.99 a lb, you can beat their Prime 1 aged top sirloin.

    ya, they sell ground buffalo at our marsh stores. Make about a 1/3 buffalo burger on a whole wheat bun FTW!

    Yea, every restaurent in town sells bison burgers and I get some ground stuff from the local grocery store.

    fuck ya. got two small buffalo steaks from whole foods for like 6 bucks. cooked it med rare, was pretty damn good

    I had Bison burgers once. They were delicious, but...I'm more into veggie burgers. I'm not a vegetarian, I just like veggie burgers.

    I think the guy behind the counter was gay, he waould always talk to me and then when I ordered the Bison he would ring it up as Ground Chuck. :o
