Anyone do traps on a day seperate from back or shoulders?

    I think I am gonna do them on like chest day or something.. they are too fatigued after i work back and/or shoulders...

    gotta get more yolked, sonz.

    no, just seperate from back or shoulders.. like doing them on the day with chest, or on leg day..

    not to mention that i dont care, in the least bit, about functional strength :o

    i rarely do shrugs or anything for traps.
    they are big

    i don't do direct trap work, makes my shoulders worse

    I do them the day after Back. My arms get too fatigued for me to get an effective enough trap workout. Same thing for Calves. My legs are too wobbly for me to go heavy on calves.

    Right now I have a Traps+Calves day. Probably add forearms to it as well.

    I do them on my shoulder day, but I start off with them on the smith rack, so they are fresh, then come back to them with barbells near the end of my routine.

    When I was doing Pur's routine (sort of) I did them light/high reps on chest day and heavy/low reps on shoulder day. Seemed to work okay for me. :dunno:

    just gonna do it on chest day i think

    If it's just a few sets of reps for your trap, why not do them on back day plus another day? If you cant go as heavy as you want on shoulder day the second day will make up for it and then some.

    I mix it up and do them from time to time on random days. I do so much upper body shit that by the time I get around to traps on back/shoulder day they are spent.
