Does anyone? Is there a decent printer out there for $500 or less with ink included?
Im debating on doing my own. I live in a small town and to have them ordered online always takes 2-3 weeks to get to me...
I want them faster :big grin:

yup, but for that budget, it would be more economical to order prints or invest more to get a cheaper per print cost

getting it home was the hardest part. We've moved with it a couple times and kills me each time.

i did the first time, now its gone. I bought in knowing I was moving in a few weeks, but there was a $400 rebate for 2 weeks only and the store gave me a killer deal.

never really timed it. The canon's are definitely faster, but speed isn't really a concern for me. It is faster than the 13x19 epsons

I think its faster, but never really paid attention to it.

it does have an Advanced B&W printer driver

But what I really like is being able to track usage amounts

I do color and b/w prints in school (13X19 on the 4800) and I doubt any of them have taken more than 10 mins, if that. I usually hit print and work on other stuff while it's being done.

I picked up a Canon i9900 off of Craigslist for cheap. It makes beautiful 13"x19" prints.

    I'm a Canon Pro9500 user:

I paid about $800 for it with some Moab and Ilford papers. Printer alone was about $700. It has 12 pigment inks, and included a full set of ink tanks. The results are fantastic on Ilford Galerie paper, and a tad muddy on the Moab. 13x19 is 8-15 minutes depending on settings.

I also have an old 4 color Pixma iP3000 and even it does a fair job on photos, so one of the mid-range models like the 7 color Pixma MP970 would probably be just fine for you as long as you don't want to print larger than 8.5x14.
