i'm not a programmer and i know nothing about programing besides the simple hello world chapter.

but i know html. I dont want to create a web app but a ipod app that can be updated via the internet - like basically create an app and make it update via xml or rss feed.

how hard would this be to do with no knowledge of java?

Do you recommend any good programmer who can possible do this or site where i can pay someone? i know bout elance and such sites

I've created several iPhone apps (all for myself, none in the app store) but haven't got around to doing anything with Andriod yet. If you understand C/C++, Objective-C is a pretty easy transition

I've done .NET, Java, PHP so I think toying around with iphone apps is going to be a challenge.

Mind showing me some of the stuff you've made?

you'll be fine if you understand true OO. It's got really weird syntax compared to what you're probably used to, but it will all make sense eventually.

Go on the apple developer site and download the objective-c pdf. That should give you a good start on the language itself. You can tool around with apple's examples, but you'll eventually want to get a good iphone specific book. I like the one from the Pragmatic Programmers http://www.pragprog.com

I'll try to dig up some source, but it probably won't do you any good until you understand what's really going on :o

I probably won't be able to get into this anytime soon. I can't get any osx86 version running on vmware :(

I can't believe some dude makes a 'fart' app for the iPhone platform and ends up making tens of thousands a day for a good week or so... makes me want to get in on the bandwagon :noes:
