"Well, now it's getting even better. DCX is going to be offering a real truck engine as base power for the RAM.

The old Jeep 4.0 I-6 is getting a new lease on life!

Scheduled to be cancelled with the redesign of the Wrangler, it's been given an extream make-over instead.

    4.0 Litre

New deep skirted block with 6 bolt mains.

Cross flow HEMI head. (Same design as the V-8's)

    VVT

    Direct EFI.

    260-300HP

    300+ LB TQ

It will replace the rough running and inefficient V-6 currently powering base RAMS. Anticipated to cost 30% less to produce than the V-6 it replaces.

Engine will also power the Jeep Wrangler and the up-comming Gladiator.

Kind of cool for an old AMC design!

    PS. I really like I-6's"
