I'm thinking OWB would be much more comfortable and easier to sit down with.
Concealment > Comfort, to an extent.
atleast until anti-open carry laws are rescinded...
I have an OWB holster for my G29. It's real comfortable, but you've gotta wear something loose to hide it.
OWB here in the winter
i'm OWB my CZ - and until i get something smaller, that's all the concealing i will be doing.
OC is legal here in VA, thankfully
I dont see what the problem with IWB and comfort. I drove my car for 7 hours and never new it was there. Are you guys really fat or really skinny?
Depends what your concealing also
I carry my 642 and P220 IWB. No bother at all.
The butt of the mag hits chairs when I sit down.
It seriously looks like I have a brick on my side when I try that with my G30.
Yeah, I know what you mean. I really only use it during the winter when I wear heavier coats. I much prefer carrying my 340.
This is true. I cc an XD 40 SC at about 4-5 o'clock.
I can CC a 5" XD around there too
Most of the time I carry my G19 IWB. Occasionally I'll throw the G19 or G17 in a fobus and carry OWB. And I just got my 5.11/bladetech for my p220 so I'm carrying it OWB right now.
MG's skinny cop friend carries both his Kimber and his 442 OWB. He seems to be able to conceal almost anything though.
I'm too fat, don't like IWB. I've carried several 1911 styles and a variety of Glocks OWB in pancake holsters with no issues. Galco, DeSantis, Safariland, Don Hume and other all make "high-ride" pancake holsters that'll keep whatever you are CCW'ing high and tight to your body. You do have to dress around it, but that isn't bad at all.
Right now my preferred CCW is a Glock 30 (a pretty chubby gun) carried OWB at 3-4 o'clock in a Don Hume pancake. If I'm not wearing that I'm pocket CCW'ing a Glock 26 or S&W model 60.
IWB is great if it works for you.
I do both, usually depending on which outer garment is appropriate for the weather.
Sometimes it's just OWB OC too.
