There is a guy on a local board here in KC that has one for sale for $425.
    That a good price?

$425 is a steal for a 92FS inox -- they usually go in the $600-$700 range.

That gunbroker auction looks pretty good. If I can I'd like to find an older one in good condition without the silly warnings stamped all over "Warning, gun will fire without magazine" "Read Manual", etc

Never been to the SJ show, but I went to the Cow Palace show in Feb.

The ammo booth was a ZOO. Keep in mind, this was Feb, so the craze was in full swing.

I got there at 9:30 and there was a huge fuckin' line. (Pre-Obama, there was never a line.) While standing in line, I saw several people pushing handtrucks stacked with ammo out to their car.

Finally get inside and the ammo booth was stacked 3 deep all around. It was nuts. Ammo wasn't even cheap, just regular market price.

Hopefully it isn't that crazy these days.

As for other stuff, I never found the shows to have many great deals. At the time, I was looking for a Sig 226. They had some decently priced ones (around $760), but nothing that I felt I HAD to buy.

I usually just go there to look around and pick up small items (cleaning supplies, grips, etc.) Again, better prices are to be had online. The show is just a convenient place for you to get everything in one place.

Hmm I might swing by on Sunday after I fly back. Although I don't think they will sell me anything since I still don't have a CA driver's license.

 I got to the cow palace show right at opening time and saw the line, the rain, and started laughing. 30 minutes to get in, I was amazed. I dont think i even bought anything, but am regretting not getting any ammo as paying for shipping sucks :hs:

Depends on how much it costs to get in I guess. I'm not paying $10 to get in to save $1 on ammo

You might have to pay for parking too.
