Are they still crazy with lines around the building and 500% markups or have they calmed down to pre-hopenchange levels?

I've been to a few. It has all come down, but still not quite pre-election yet. I've seen a number of sub-$800 AR's. Ammo is still kind of at lol-levels. One guy was selling federal .223 200rd boxes for $200, just down the isle, same product for $80.

I went to the big one in Orlando a month or so ago and it was not crazy. Prices were still kinda steep though.

When do you have to start getting fingerprinted to buy ammo?

haven't been to any gun show in virginia lately. the huge one at dulles went to total shit. ammo is 400% markup. guns are fucking terrible. new guns there can't compete with gunbroker shit new.

bought my xd 45 compact for $530 6 months ago after shipping/ffl. went to gun show to find 550 + 5$ tax  - 1 guy had it at this price

such a waste. esp when they want like $12 entry fee

I still go once in a while, but I'm not nearly as interested as I used to be. When I was a kid, the gun shows around here had a lot more guys selling and trading their own stuff. Now it's just a storefront for retailers, and the private sellers are almost completely gone. Except for the beef jerky and indian jewelry stands. :hsugh:

yeah like 25% of the gun show is actual fucking guns. i love the dumbasses selling swords/knives/artwork/ww2 shit

    jesus christ

years ago in PA gun shows were great. gun stores went there and dropped 10-20% to compete with everyone. i bought my taurus pt111 pro 9mm with 2 12rnd mags for $300 stainless. it has since gone to like $350 or so.

    everything is always ruined

Around here some stuff came down a little bit, but still insanely high.

.223 here is about 25+ per box for cheap stuff, 15+ for wolf and the like for 9mm

Glocks in stores are about 580-675, XD's about the same, PT1911 about 950+

AR's are steady around 900 and up. :wtc:

I hope you mean a box of 50. Boxes of 20 are $9 here right now.

I would hope so, but I found one place near me selling 20 round boxes for $17-$24. I went elsewhere and found PMC for $8/box, and then somebody from here was kind enough to sell me some PMC from their own stash for a little cheaper than that.

Sometimes I can find 20rnds for 9 bucks, but rarely. Most places are charging north of 15 for 20 rnds

After checking around, plinking ammo for .223 around here is about .90 cents or more per shot

Recently, they stopped having the gun show I would go to. Apparently the building they used got leased. It's sort of bittersweet- It was pretty big (850 tables), but the last show had devolved into a memorabilia/jerky/jewelry show with a few guns. I had decided that was the last time I'd go to that show, only to learn that it's gone anyway. I don't think I'll be going to a gun show for a while.
