Anybody with a low libido?

    I have suffered from a low libido all my teenage life, and now into my adult years I still find I have far less interest in sex than my friends - then I should.

    It's not just something I've noticed because of how I feel - it is actively getting in the way between my GF and I. I know this is F&N and not the Asylum so my questions are:

    1. Does anybody else suffer from this who trains? The increase in testosterone from training (apparently leg muscles help) should help in this regard.

    2. Does anybody take any supplements that have the expressed effect (or side effect) of increasing libido?

    I've read of some mood enhancers such as P7 on afstore boards but am skeptical as to their effectiveness.

    I just took pills, 2 in the morning daily. Just started taking to see if it would help with energy - not so much, but really ramped up my sex drive.

    Hey stilgar,
    My reccomendation would be ZMA (zinc, magnesium)

    Lots of guys who weight train are deficient in zinc and low zinc can damage your libido and test production. About a year ago when I first used zinc I felt MUCH better after only about a week of taking it. Plus it's a great sleep aid and I found myself having a solid, uninterrupted 8 hours of sleep.

    I've never tried ginseng so I can't vouch for it, but something I have tried is AIFM (from the AF store).. it definitely worked for me. When I started using it, I felt a bit like you but after 1-2 weeks I was back to being 17 again ad wanting to shag everything in sight. It's a crazy feeling getting a boner from NWS pics on OT.. that hadn't happened in a while.

    If you try those and they don't work, there are other routes you can go down but we can come to those later, and some of the other guys are much better qualified than me to advise you about them.

    ps- zma is a sleep aid, the side effect of which is to allow for greater testosterone production which only occurs in the deepest REM stages of sleep

    Whenever I do remember to take my ZMA before bed (usually on a hard training day) I get the best sleep...other ZMA-less nights I usually wake up at least once throughout the night.

    I found that increasing my carbs and fat content helps. Also try simply consuming more calories. I have a no sex drive when I cut weight but when I start to go back up in weight I want to fuck everything. If that doesnt work stop touching your dick and looking at porn for a week

    And if you want to lower libido?? I dunno - take some birth control pills :dunno:

    When I was a member back on Genmay (another forum like OT) there was a guy who put on his girlfriends birth control patch for a month. By the end he was actually lactating and couldn't get a boner no matter what he did :rofl:

    Pass on the BC pills. I think lowering carbs does somewhat work for me.

    I'm good to go having sex 2x a day... but body wants it more than that. Like to go out and do stuff too now, not like the college days where we stay in hitting it 6-8x day.
