I watched the first episode but it didn't hold my attention to be honest.

My 10 yr old loves it and begs me to watch it, soooo I am letting him. Gotta foster the love for scifi any way I can...I honestly don't really care for it myself.

I actually enjoyed it. Easy to watch and pretty fun, even if it is aimed at younger audience. :wiggle:

the commercials made it look like that piss-poor HBO adaptation of Earthsea, which i utterly despised.

    so i haven't watched it. :o

I watch it. It gives me my corny as fantasy fix until Legend of the Seeker starts up again.

i haven't seen the cartoon version either. but i do know LeGuin disowned it, if that's any indication.

although there's no way on earth it can be as bad as the tele-movie. :o

    hahaha, ooh that sounds bad.

i enjoyed those books. they were clever. couldn't really get down with the taoist themes, but as "coming of age stories" they were some good shit. how many of them have you read? i've read the first three and Tales From Earthsea

I watched the first two episodes, it's too much of a teen drama for me. Not enough magic, and too much QQ. It's dumb that Merlin is a boy when Arthur is, that doesn't follow lore at all.
