I ran it on my PC rig but was underwhelmed. It definetly isn't a retail release, but if the beta is even 50% of what the retail version has to offer, my next computer purchase will be another Mac.

I'm running it on my desktop. It's fine :dunno: I can't see any improvements over XP other than the improved GUI and the addition of media center

apple notebooks are definitely price-competitive, don't believe the hype:

    http://arstechnica.com/news.ars/post/20060516-6848.html

"Munster has found that while most people's conception of Macintoshes is that they command a 20 to 30 percent price margin over equivalent PCs, analysis of the new Intel-based Mac hardware shows that the actual price premium is much less: only 13 percent for desktops (well, iMacs, since the PowerMacs haven't transitioned yet) and 10 percent for laptops. This is a pretty reasonable margin, and certainly shows that Apple has come a long way from the company that once made more than 50 percent profit on both the Apple ][ and Macintosh lines."

I'm running it on a MacBook, I'm not having any major problems.

Both BootCamp and Vista are betas, so I take both with a grain of salt when it comes to problems and surprises. :dunno:

I was running the Beta 2 installer and it froze about 15 minutes into it. So after restarting the mini, it wouldn't boot and wouldn't recognize my wireless keyboard so I couldn't force boot into OS X (I ended up buying an apple keyboard and got it booted). I reformatted the NTFS partition and don't plan on trying Vista again on any Apple hardware.
