I'm thinking about purchasing a standard account. Anyone have comments? Site looks badass.

I've been comparing Smugmug and Photoshelter in my spare time over the past few weeks. I have yet to make a decision.

Smugmug is $40 a year (i have a coupon code for half off if you want it).
Photoshelter is $29 a month for a comparable plan.

Only negative is you have to have a pro account on smugmug to sell pics, and that is 150 a year :eek3:

but i'm not planning on selling pics, so its a no brainer :o

I just want a good looking site with easy upload capabilities for my albums.

plus there is a kickass lightroom plugin.

    anyone else?

Photoshelter can be had for $10 a month, but the storage is only 10 GB.

only put up your best, no ones going to go through thousands of snapshots, and if you go with self fulfillment you only upload the web size files

No I agree, I plan on having like a "Favorites" section and a "Full album section" that way if people want to see my best pics they can go to favorites, or if I'm at my grandmas house and I want to show her all the pictures of my sisters graduation (whether they are perfect or not) I can do that too. Not everyone I take pictures for even notices whether they are perfectly focused or composed. They just want to see lots of pictures, which is why I want to do it like this.

    Make sense?
