Or even have a 5dMk2 ??? Some of the batteries on Ebay say they wont give info to the camera :ugh:

Others seem like a good deal at $40 or so... any suggestions? :x:

i'm waiting for sterlingtek to put out some batteries for the 5dmarkII. There are some out there now, but yeah, they don't send info to the camera, which is i'm guessing why sterlingtek hasn't put any out yet. If they do though, i'd definitely go w/ their batteries, as they've got great batteries.

I use the cheap ebay batteries in my 40D and notice little to no difference in life as compared to canons.

40d batteries dont have anything special to them. The 5d2 battery has some built in circuit that sends battery info to the camera.

I used to use delkin 2200mAh NP-E3's with no problems. They were actually great now that i look back.
