Demo'd at best buy, Catchy mixes, recommend to DL the soundtrack, but not worth paying $120 for it. The crossfade button is too loose and the timing window is merciless.

i didnt like the turntable its too loose, feels cheep like GH1 controllers, otherwise the visuals are great and so is the music. i wish the buttons were on the side and not the table its really akward, i play lots of music games amplitude gutiar hero, rockband, all the konami arcade games... but i really hate the turntable which is a shame because its kinda important :o

I got it, was playing earlier. About my only complaints are
    - It is pretty basic. You just play through everything and unlock pointless stuff as you go...thats about it. Then again thats always been my issue with these "____ Hero" games.
    - The turntable feels a little loose and wobbly at times and really needs rubber grips around the rim. Though you kind of learn how to control it. And the Renegade edition is no better, its just shiny. I would have preferred something like a premium version of the turntable with that instead of the fancy case/shitty stand. I skipped it and got the normal version.
    - You cant fail, which kills that added edge and difficulty (though given the nature of this kind of music and the difficulty of playing some of it perfectly, maybe that is not a bad thing).
    - The crossfader is waaaaaaaaaaay too loose considering the precision they often require of you. Shit like alternating sides or spikes can be difficult as fuck because it doesn't snap into place or slide as firmly as it should.

Most of the music is pretty great, and it looks good for this sort of game.

Think I'll pick this up when it hits $80, simply for the music. I fear my DJ background will make me despise it as anything more than a simple rhythm game.

Activision is like a fucking vampire, they suck every last drop out of every god damn franchise till its so overdone and burnt out, you get ideas like DJ Hero. (Granted the mixes are pretty good from what I've heard)

    But lets get real:

GH Series: Sackridin since 05' with a rehash out every 3 months.
CoD series: Sackridin' since 03' with 1 decent game on their own engine.
Wolfenstein Series: Can't come up with an original game, so lets buy out the rights to a game from fucking YEAAAARS ago and rehash THAT a couple times... hey it was a great game back in 92'!

And lets not even talk about the shit can games they ooze out every month based on a fucking movie.

WTF was blizzard smoking when they agreed to merge? Take a great, original, sound dev team... and mix it with a bunch of fucktards with a great sense on how to make a buck with the least amount of intelligence or originality, and what do you get? DJ Hero...and Diablo 3

Blizzard, that "original" dev team, has essentially focused on the same 3 intellectual properties that have been around since the company was created. They wrote the book and teach the classes on milking an IP for all it's worth.

Activision may lack originality now as they tend to stick with what sells over developing all new IP, but they've contributed quite a bit to the world of gaming. They are a good fit with Blizz.
