Yeah, Honda wants to compete with the exotics from the early 80's and avg sporty cars of the early 90's.

Reborn motorcycle maker Triumph has announced its intentions to become a major player in the industry. This intention is embodied in the Rocket III--a whopping big engine in an otherwise normal-size cruiser motorcycle. Three cylinders and 140 cu. in. (2300cc) will make the Rocket III the largest-displacement regular-production motorcycle when delivery starts in spring 2004 at the manufacturer's suggested retail price of $15,990. Boasting 140 hp, the 760-pound 2-wheeler should rocket (sorry) to 30, 60 or 100 mph more quickly than the current production acceleration champ, the Suzuki Hayabusa. Triumph champions its 120° firing-order, 3-cylinder engines in 955cc form in several other models--but these pistons are as big as the ones in a Dodge Viper. BritBike aficionados may recall a BSA model from the '60s labeled the Rocket. They'll also remember that BSA and Triumph were owned by the same parent company and that the BSA Rocket used a Triumph engine.

I think this looks pretty interesting.....

    this is all old though.
