I just got the trial thing. Anybody here play it?
i used to, burnt out my trial, uninstalled it
but it was fun
Just logged out. Dinged level 28 on my ice tanker. Been running a forcefield defender lately. I play on Virtue server, global handle @Jaron.
Only thing I understood there.
Are you a hero or a villain?
Jaron reached level 28 on his ice powered tank (hero) (think colossus meets iceman)
forcefield defender (jean grey)
as for me
lvl 30 super strength, invulnerability tank (superman)
lvl 46 electricity, energy blaster (storm meets iron fist)
Im on Pinnacle, or at least I was till I quit playin
quick peek at my blaster
Ahhh. That kinda makes sense now.
Whats a good noob character to make?
you'll have the strength and damage taking similar to a tank, yet fast like a blaster...
meaning.. wolverine or deadpool.
just dont get the friggin claws.
do regen and sword, or guns..
i played CoH till about level 40 and CoV till 35?
the game just turns into a grind sadly
for a new chracter...i suggest scrapper for CoH and brute for CoV
CoV is generally more fun since it's easier to solo
martial arts / regen scrapper is very solid for newbies
they get good single target dmg and knockdown
had a max level earth/emp controller about 2.5 years ago? game was fun as hell to level up in, but got boring at max level
All online RPGs do.
I was going for more of an Invisible Woman thing.
I have an energy blaster too, and I made one of his costumes look just like Dr. Doom. I got reported and the GMs reset it to random shit. They found my Nightcrawler costume too, on my martial arts/super reflexes scrapper.
Here is stuff you can get reported for:
This guy would be cool to create again, now that they have trenchcoats available.
These characters are not mine:
Samus, Link, Mario, Zelda, random guy
This guy named himself The Race Card
Ok. I'm on virtue. I made a guy, a Martial Arts / Regeneration guy, his name is Captain Kung Fu.
Also, does the thing you pick make any difference, I picked Mutation.
Your origin doesn't affect your character's performance, it just changes some things about compatible Enhancements for your powers later in the game.
Well I dont think I'm going to keep playing after this trial. The game is really repetitive even at these low levels. The best part so far has been making the characters.
If I knew how I would screencap the one I just made. He looks like a Rabbi and I named him "Kosher Assault"
Have you played on a full team yet, or just solo?
I played it for a short while. Kind of found it abit too cheesy
freedom is a great server to be on. I play on there and the population is always good...
Werd, I have some lowbies on Freedom.
Virtue is the "unofficial" roleplaying server; Freedom is the "unofficial" PVP server. They each attract one of the two biggest crowds of remaining active players.
My bubble defender is level 17 now. Ran in a group of 5-8 for a couple hours, knocking out missions in Faultline. It was fun. The pace of the game picks up a lot when you're on a team, especially a successful team that knows what they're doing.
is there a way to move a toon from a server to another?
I keep picking up the box, and then putting it down. I already play an on-line game, and can't afford another (time or money ) but this is one my comic-nerd heart yearns for... or something.
Those of you playing it, if you've played other games, hows it compair as a time-sink?
