Anybody here use a weight vest or anything similar?

    I have a 50 lb adjustable short vest. What are some good workouts to go with them (besides the obvious.. like running laps or climbing stairs)? Any safety risks I should be concerned about?

    A couple of my friends wore them when we did all of our sprints and shit for high school basketball. Youd think push ups, pull ups shit like that would be good too.

    Shit.. I'm already concerned about my right knee. Is there anything I could use, like a knee brace?

    Also, I've heard that I should start with a low ratio of weights to my body weight. One site recommends starting at 2% -- I'm about 170, so that equals to 3.4 lbs -- to a maximum of 10%. Starting slow makes sense to me, but the 10% cap doesn't. 3.4 also seems a little low. Is this right?
