thinking about trying out a class or two and see what it's like. it seems like they put you into crazy positions that could increase flexibility for zhuzhitsu

i got twice a week with the girl i'm dating. it actually has helped my flexibility and you just feel relaxed after. if you workout at a gym, they usually offer it for free, so try it out.

Static stretches are not optimal for athletes.

I do pilates in my workout, it's helped a lot for my flexability for my size. Plus it helps me rock the rubber guard whenever I want.

I take a class by the local hospitals physical thearpist. No silly chanting or spiritual bs. Dude makes you hold some very difficult positions and works muscle strenght more then streching. I made fun of it till I tried it. Really kicked my ass actually.

yoga is fucking amazing. I have had back problems my whole life until I started doing yoga, and am one of the most flexible people I know and yoga was still very challenging.

    Don't need it.

And my chiropracter said the people with the most back problems that he has dealt with are people who do yoga.

I've heard this before but I don't buy it. it's either the result of bad yoga or the chiropractors trying to spread misinformation because yoga takes away their business.

yeah i've watched magnificent mobility but i think bjj is very different from normal sports. You can get more flexibility from yoga, be it static stretches or not. Being able to put both your legs behind your head might not benefits in a sport like football or basketball but it is very benefical in bjj.

I've been thinking about it. Going to see when the classes at the Y are. There is a yoga place right around the corner from my house, but it's 45 a month :ugh:
