In my carry class my instructor had some for sale. They are ~$110 and he was selling them for ~$75-85. I actually found the same knife online for about ~$50.

I am looking at the Recon 1. It was an amazing blade!

Heard of them, saw the DVD and got a few laughs out of it but I've never handled one of their knives personally, most of the people I talk to who have usually say its decent for the money but lacking a bit in quality.

I had never actually heard of them until this weekend. I ran into an old friend at a birthday party and he had a huge 4" folder. With the plastic handle it was real light. The birthday guy's uncle who is a HUGE knife and gun collector says he likes those knives because he can get them pretty damn sharp.
My old friend also bought for the birthday present another knife which even has a fiberglass reinforced plastic blade. It too was so light I could not believe it. Problem is I do not know if you can sharpen those.

The one I held was a very nice blade. The grip was textured so that it is nearly impossible to lose grip. I guess for the money it's worth a shot. It's just hard for me to justify $100+ for a knife.

Search the knives on eBay and they are 40-60% off MSRP prices too! :wiggle:

I have a Recon 1 I got from cheaper than dirt, I like it. Keeps an edge and gets the job done for what I use that knife for, I use it as my dedicated waterfowling knife. Breasting out, cutting cords, sticks, etc.

    Edit for picture:

Don't you guys have the promotional videos at your gun shows? Seems that every show I'm at around here, there's always a video of guys testing out cold steel knives, stabbing through car doors and cutting entire beef legs in half with one swing. It's pretty badass.

Oh and i had a recon-1, it was on OK knife but I wouldn't pay the $75 I paid for it again. My cousin has had a couple Voyagers, the blades are fine but it feels like crap in your hand; the zytel or whatever they is cheap and too thin for me.

  12. I never handled one but they always look cheap to me.
