how are they?
metal framed s&w guns = huge win
s&w sigma = huge suck
buy the right one
My Glock 17 has been great!
your glock probably wasnt $300ish
This one was very close, brand new for $425.
But they do go for around 300 'ish' if you look around. No such thing as buying a bad glock, I could rebuild with all new parts for dirt cheap. Check out Summit, they were selling G17's for 300 range.
I know a couple people with the cheap metal rugers, they seem to be decent but kind of bulky if your looking for a ccw.
You can get a used Glock for $350. I'd rather have a Used glock over a new shitty sidearm.
Glock 17/19 are easy to find used.
Or save up and buy them new. Should find it new for around $479 pretty easily.
I can't tell if they're in stock or not but http://www.summitgunbroker.com/1838356.html
http://www.summitgunbroker.com/1048200.html would be nice too
S&W reps were even talking about how shitty it was
I've got a ruger P85 9mm, paid $250 ish for, never had a ftf/fte, but it's bulky, uglier then my glocks, and has a worse trigger pull.
Save some cash and buy a quality gun.
I had a Sigma once, one of the newer ones. I thought it had a horrible, gritty trigger, even after installing Wolff trigger/striker springs. It shot OK, but I hated that trigger. I didn't bother working on the trigger any further - sold it and didn't look back.
My girlfriend's first pistol was a Taurus PT111 Millennium Pro. I didn't think the DA-only trigger was horrible, but she hated it. Had to send it back to Taurus for a barrel replacement, and as soon as she got it back she sold it and bought something else.
summit is good people.
I had a Ruger P89- great gun but definitely not a ccw piece
I too had a Ruger P-89 and loved it. They're pretty big guns, but I'm a big guy so it was okay. I can't recall ever experiencing a malfinction of any kind and I shot that thing a lot.
why support ruger politics???
I am buying a Taurus pt92 in about a week. I'll let you know when I get it.
I did shoot someone else's PT92 and it shot flawlessly. I was putting 3 out of 5 shots in a half dollar sized bulls-eye at 17 yards.
Taurus 24/7 9mm here. There appears to be a huge hate on teh Taurus. I was able to get past it and enjoy mine quite a bit. Enough so that I carry it daily. I love mine. YMMV though.
The market is full of used s&w metal autos at like $250-350, what has been your experience with them?
this is not a bad looking gun
Buy a P6 from AIM!
I have an older Ruger P95dc 9mm. (no rail)
It's going in for service soon.. having trigger issues.
Check out the Stoeger Cougar. A Beretta clone for less than half the price.
kinda hard to find
I like my P95. Great for fucking around
Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa...whoa......I would never say anything is uglier than a Glock.
I have a taurus PT24/7 9mm and love it. It's been 100% reliable for me so far after about 900 rounds. Feels great in the hand, sights are not bad after you get used to them. Overall, I love it. Especially for $350 OTD brand new
