So I have a friend that I keep in touch exclusively via his Lycos.com email account, and a Eudoramail.com account.

But starting a couple of months ago, I started getting the majority of my emails returned through my hotmail account as Postmaster delivery failures.

Does anybody have any experience with this?

I created a Hotmail account for him which works, but he hates to use it.

It's a dear old friend, and I don't want to lose touch with him.

Get him an Excite.com email account. They have the best webmail interface I've ever seen. I've been using them for nine years -- I even pay for it now.

The main problem is that he's an old dog, and doesn't want to learn new tricks.
I have to figure out why hotmail going out is failing, when the same hotmail recieves them just fine.

    Why don't you change accounts?

Yeah, but I don't know what to change to if I don't know what the problem is in the first place.

He has two email accounts and it's doing it to both of them.

So it's hard to believe that it's a Hotmail issue.

I'm gonna guess it's a spam filter. See if there's a list in his email account that you can add yourself to, so your emails will get through to him without first being scrutinized.

I wound up just getting the same email address at Lycos.

Easy to remember, and I get to keep in touch with my cranky ass old pal on the west coast.

i used to have lycos email, but i didn't log in for 30 days and they shut down my account.

bad thing is that my myspace is linked to it and i cant change the email address, because myspace requires the lycos email response

I asked him about that, and he said he does run a spam filter.
But he said something about having me in his address book.

(I forget his exact words, but they usually end in, "ya big fuckin homo. <s>")
