If I had a torn ligament/tendon would I be in a lot of pain? I injured my back last October doing deadlifts and felt a popping in my back when I hurt it. It still hurts today but not as bad as before. I went to a walk in clinic but the doctor just said rest it. From what I have read online I have a grade 3 sprain in my lower back and the tendons/ligaments or whatever actually ripped which is what the popping was. The only way to fix it is surgery. Now, should I go to the doctor again or what?

My mom told me to stop working out but I don't wanna get fat again.

    Please respond :hs:

You can not deadlift if your back is destroyed you know.

Go to the doctor, insist you get an MRI

I haven't deadlifted since. Except for like 60lbs to test my back.

Just cause you heard a pop I don't think that necessarily means you tore something. Not sure though.

see a doctor, then see a physical therapist. With a few sessions per week, you should be heeled up in a month or so. In the meantime, watch your diet, and try to sub in something for cardio. If its an option, swimming will be the most effective and easiest on your back.

I have strained my lower back severely last year. I couldnt squat or deadlift for about 3-4 months. Had to do only chest supported rows, etc. That sucked.

Hurt my low back deadlifting a couple years ago. 1.5 years after the injury (shit still caused problems) I got a massage for my birthday and told the girl to focus on my low back. Shit has been 100% gone since the massage.

I never believed massage could actually repair something like this but take my advice. Get a massage. It may work.

ive pulled an erector its terrible. Go to an actual orthopedist and get his opinion. You can take some time from working out and keep your diet clean and not get fat.
