Was talking to a guy @ work who is thinking of buying his 1st handgun and I went into my wallet to show him my license. It expired in March 2005.
Called the probate court and they said I can't just renew it. I have to do the whole application thing again and it will take 12 weeks. So i gotta do a $23 money order and then wait the 12 weeks and go back with a $15 Money order.
Totally my fault but it just seems like sometimes things are more difficult to be a law abiding citizen.

I did, but not on accident, I had a pending court case that prevented me from renewing it in time, so I had to retake the class.

NJ sucks so much ass otherwise, but my firearms ID card does not expire. However, permits to purchase a handgun are only good for three months from date of issuance (six months if you apply for an extension).

Here in MA, it took my dad 3 months for his license to be approved. Fuck you Ted Kennedy, and fuck you John Kerry.
